My Poetry - Part 4

SISTER!! SISTER!!!!!

I’d see your beautiful stroll.
You’re dressed so fine and smell sweet.
My goodness is I alive?

I SAW THE OTHER SIDE

Falling into my deep sleep I’d journeyed.
Slowly I flew to a far and distant land of glorious beauty.
My eyes saw rich green plants and beautiful mountain tops.
Now I walked up to a small waterfall with pond of water to taste.
Bending down like a new man seemed odd as I’d taste the water.
Water hit my lips oh my goodness and surrounding my tongue with a chill.
I’d closed my eyes tight with a real crying delight; I never taste water so good.
A man walked up to me and asked: “What do you think of this eye opening place?”
I said: I’d don’t know where I am but this is great for my heart is rejoicing at the site.
Nothing but beauty I see all around me that makes me feels very comfortable.
I smell scented fresh air and for no aches nor pains that I normally have.
May I ask who are you that appear so kind to me at this time?
Yes you can but I will say this that you’ll find out very soon.
Now you have had a taste of paradise time to go.
Next thing I feel is the sun rays waking me up.

NUBIAN DELIGHT

To me that sounds like a very special dish.
Seeing you come out oh my goodness dress to kill.
Your sweet scent leads the way right to my plate.
Forget about my utensils for you are finger-looking good.
You’re seasoned extras spicy with your juices flowing smoothly.
Damn my Nubian Delight one request can I enjoy you every night?

UNDER THE STREETLIGHT

Us brothers with the boom box on Friday night ready to act out the Tempts.
We are there warming up ours’ vocals and tightening up our dance steps.
My lil baby brother is now passing out the paper-bag of ice cold ole English 40.
Fine and I do mean fine assed sisters just waiting for our cool singing show.
Finally we’d arranged ourselves in what we would do and now it is time for My Girl.
Music starts we’re finger popping and doing our cool steps then there’s a light.
Yes I mean a god awful bright light in our faces with a rude voice making a command.
You fools get you asses off the street! Its end of your show and better not see you no mo!

THE WAR

Deacons of Defense still lives.
Yes they protect family and their communities.
We will be ever ready.
